چکیده
Abstract Introduction Classic risk factors of atherosclerosis may contribute to cardiovascular (CV) in patients (pts) with pulmonary hypertension associated congenital heart disease (PAH-CHD), but their prevalence is poorly studied. Purpose We evaluated a large cohort Polish PAH-CHD (PAHpts) treated specific therapies regard classic for atherosclerosis. Methods A multicenter observational snapshot registry was conducted under the auspices Cardiac Society study PAH pts, identified centers treating >5 such pts years 2008–2018. The analysis included 250 including non-corrected CHD – predominantly Eisenmenger Syndrome (Gr. 1, 224 mean age 42±2 years, 63% females) and after correction 2, 26 42±6.5 62% females). incidence CV compared both groups. Results considerable considering young statistically similar groups (Figure). Hypertension present 14% Gr. 1 15% 2. diabetes comparable (3% vs. 4%). Hyperlipidemia nearly numerically twice as frequent (23% 12%, p=0.18). Current smokers (1%) were only while history smoking 4% Symptomatic peripheral arteries (8% 4%, p=0,71). There no difference regarding prior stroke (3,6% vs p=0,63). Chronic kidney atrial fibrillation one half more often (respectively, 12% 8%, p=0,81; p=0.75). Mean rate 72±2 bpm 77±7 Gastrointestinal bleeding reported (2.7%). SCORE calculated risks low due age, high 9.3% 20% 2 (p=0.096). Conclusions Based on our data from national survey, are not uncommon population relatively PAH-CHD, parallel improved longevity. Selected elevated death atherosclerotic complications. This finding influence overall mortality reflects new challenges management despite progress hypertension. FUNDunding Acknowledgement Type funding sources: None. Figure

Evaluation of QRS, QTc, and JTc intervals in Congenital Heart Disease with Pulmonary Hypertension
Background Pulmonary hypertension (PH) in congenital heart disease affects the patient’s prognosis. Prolonged QRS and QTc intervals in ECG may intensify life-threatening dysrhythmia in patients. We aimed to investigate the correlation between QRS, QTc, and JTc intervals prolongation in ECG with PH in Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) patients. Mate...
متن کامل[Pulmonary hypertension associated with congenital heart disease].
INTRODUCTION Congenital heart diseases are among the most common congenital malformations at birth with an incidence of 8/1,000 live births. These defects are characterized by a heterogeneous group of abnormal defects and connections between the cardiac chambers and vessels with different haemodynamic consequences and hence, varying need for follow-up and interventions. The most common forms ar...
متن کاملAssessment the Risk Factors Associated With Occurrence of Congenital Heart Disease: A Cease-Control Study in Southeast of Iran
Background and Objectives: Congenital heart disease (CHD) is the most common type of birth defect that accounts for 25% of all congenital anomalies. This study was conducted to identify the risk factors od congenital heart disease in southeast Iran. Methods: In this case-control study, 353 cases were selected from children aged 0 to 59 months who suffered from congenital heart disease and w...
متن کاملcongenital heart disease with pulmonary hypertension; surgery or medical treatment?
pulmonary arterial hypertension (pha) is a frequent complication of congenital heart disease (chd), most commonly in systemic-to-pulmonary shunt lesions. in patients with an uncorrected left-to right shunt, pah will end up to eisenmenger’s syndrome, which is contraindication of surgery. what about patients with moderate to severe pah, who do not have criteria of eisenmenger’s syndrome; immediat...
متن کاملManagement of pulmonary arterial hypertension associated with congenital heart disease.
Congenital heart diseases are the most common congenital malformations and account for about eight cases per 1000 births and are often associated with pulmonary arterial hypertension. Increased shear stress and the excess flow through the pulmonary vascular bed due to a systemic-to-pulmonary shunt lead to the development of pulmonary vascular disease and an increase in pulmonary vascular resist...
